DESCRIPTION:Red Dot Fundamentals: are you having a hard time seeing your iron sights? If so\, the red dot optic is a game changer for aging eyes and long-arm syndrome. Do you  have a red or green dot mounted optic system? Are you struggling with finding the dot consistently? Are you thinking about getting a pistol mounted optic for your pistol? Most assume it will be an easy transition. It can be if approached with the right training! Come learn all about this fantastic technology\, how to utilize it and use it with maximum advantage. Class starts with a 1-hour lecture in the classroom\, then we hit the range. \nCourse Objective: Develop the basic skills to zero your mounted optic\, and access and utilize the dot consistently. You will learn the way to present your pistol in order to see the dot every time. There is no pre-requisite for this class. Loaner guns available for an extra fee of $25.

DESCRIPTION:Red Dot Intermediate: This class is to take your red or green dot skills to the next level and is all range time. A pistol mounted optic system allows for much quicker aiming and shooting if you know how to use it to maximum advantage. Course objective: to build more resilient skills using the dot to get more accurate shots on target sooner. Some of the topics are target transitions\, drawing from the holster to find the dot\, precise shot placement into 1″ and 2″ squares from various distances\, seeing the dot sooner for follow up shots and more! Course pre-requisite: Red Dot basic course from me or someone else as this class builds on what is learned in our Red Dot Fundamentals course.

It’s also a fantastic refresher for those who haven’t visited these topics in a while. \nIn this half-day class students will be guided to understand conflict avoidance and situational awareness\, develop a home security and home defense mindset and plan\, handgun\, shooting fundamentals\, the physiology of violent encounters and most importantly\, the legal aspects of using deadly force\, including what to do in the aftermath. It includes a brief overview of gear\, gadgets as well as ongoing training and optional 1-hour shooting portion at the end (extra $45 charge payable in class).
