DESCRIPTION:Come learn the basics of rifle shooting\, hunting season is coming!  Come learn all about rifles in this fun\, comprehensive\, full day class.  You will learn about bolt-action\, semi-automatic\, lever-action and break-action rifles\, several shooting positions\, maintenance\, ammunition fundamentals and much more!  Bring your own rifle or loaners available for a small fee.  You will receive a certificate of completion and a 150-page reference manual to take home.  Course takes place at our private range in Smithville.  Address and more details to be given after registration and payment.  Payment will be made directly to instructor after registering for this course. \nThis class is a prerequisite to take the NRA Rifle Instructor Course for the 2 days following this class.

SUMMARY:NRA Certified Rifle Instructor Course
DESCRIPTION:NRA Certified Rifle Instructor Course: This 2-day class includes NRA Basic Instructor Training (BIT) and the Instructor portion to have the opportunity to become a certified rifle instructor with the NRA. The prerequisite to take this instructor class is the Basics of Rifle Shooting student level class (just prior to this class). Proof of having taken this class is a certificate of completion from any certified NRA instructor. Please bring your student manual from this class as we will be using it. All instructor candidates must fill out a pre-course qualification/questionnaire and email it promptly back to the Training Counselor. All Instructor level materials will be provided. \nThere is a written test and a shooting qualification which must be passed at a 90% or greater to obtain certification. In addition\, you will be receiving and giving feedback to your class peers. Please come dressed as you would to go to the range. You will need to bring: your rifle in any caliber as you will be shooting as a “student” as well as shooting the instructor rifle qualification\, 150 rounds of ammunition\, a shooting mat\, eye and hearing protection\, closed toed shoes and long pants. You will be shooting from the bench\, prone and standing. Safe gun handling\, loading and unloading of each action type must also be demonstrated to pass this course. \nPlease bring a lunch both days as there aren’t any close by eateries. There is a fridge and a microwave. Water is provided.

DESCRIPTION:Our pistol cleaning clinic will give you the confidence you need to maintain your firearm properly. Have you always wanted to know how to disassemble\, clean and reassemble your pistol? Is your pistol a mystery? Has it EVER been cleaned? If you have cleaning supplies\, feel free to bring them or use instructor provided supplies. Please bring your pistol manual to class! \nThis 2 hour clinic will have you cleaning your pistol like a pro! Also discussed will be how often to clean it\, what supplies you will need and more. After pistol re-assembly a 2-shot function test will be performed so you know it’s cycling properly. \nClass is held at a private range facility. Address to be given after registration and payment.

SUMMARY:Holster Clinic
DESCRIPTION:Come take our holster clinic and learn the correct methods. Learning how to draw from your holster and re-holster safely is one of the most important skills a firearms owner can learn. Incorrect methods endanger yourself and others. This 2-hour clinic is conducted entirely on the range. In this introduction course you will learn proper drawing from the holster\, re-holstering and an introduction to defensive shooting fundamentals. Your instructor will help you build your foundation to include\, grip\, stance\, body dynamics\, and firing 3 to 5 rounds efficiently and effectively to neutralize the threat.
