DESCRIPTION:This is the Texas License to Carry in-person course. This all-day course will fulfill 3/5 things you need to obtain your License to Carry. The 5 things needed to obtain an LTC in Texas: \n1. Fill out an application with the state \n2. Fingerprinting done at Identogo. You will receive a code from the state to make an appointment after you file your application. No they cant use previous fingerprinting you’ve already done! \n3. 4-6 hours of mandated classroom education covering the state laws pertaining to firearms\, conflict avoidance\, de-escalation\, safe storage and much more! \n4. Pass a written exam with at least a 75%. \n5. Pass the shooting proficiency with a minimum score of 175/250. \nPrior shooting experience necessary\, this is not a beginning shooting course.

DESCRIPTION:Conceal Carry & Home Defense Fundamentals Half-Day – This half-day comprehensive course is for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. It’s also a fantastic refresher for those who haven’t visited these topics in a while. When was the last time you took a classroom session regarding issues surrounding defensive gun use? A while ago? Never? Your LTC class years ago? You need to refresh on these issues as laws change regularly. \nIn this half-day class students will be guided to understand conflict avoidance and situational awareness\, develop a home security and home defense mindset and plan\, handgun\, shooting fundamentals\, the physiology of violent encounters and most importantly\, the legal aspects of using deadly force\, including what to do in the aftermath. It includes a brief overview of gear\, gadgets as well as ongoing training options. Come learn how the law might interpret your actions. \nThis class is a MUST HAVE if you carry a gun in public or intend to. The mindset must be correct in order to make the best decisions. Don’t take a chance that you will be found not guilty! Its much more complicated and nuanced than that. And if you don’t have a solid understanding of these issues you will likely end up in jail. This class will help you be much better mentally prepared for any consequences and help you understand your options much better!

Take your holster skills to the next level! This class is conducted entirely on the range.\n\n\nYou will need:\n\nA proper gun belt (no fashion belts). A good gun belt is designed to hold up the weight of the holster\, gun and magazine pouches.\nA holster made specifically for your gun! No SERPA style or collapsible holsters are allowed.\nPants with belt loops so your gun belt stays in place and secure.\n200+ rounds of ammunition\n1-2 magazine pouches if you have them. If not\, loaners are available.\nBall cap\, closed toed shoes\, eye and hearing protection.

The goal of this class is to de-mystify what can sometimes feel like a topic reserved for experts. \nYou will leave with a basic plan in place and understand your next steps to think about for your home defense strategy. Some of the topics covered: Developing a Home and Personal Protection Plan\, Self-Defense Firearm Basics\, Shooting Fundamentals\, The Legal Use of Force\, Encounters and the Aftermath and a discussion on Gear & Gadgets. Examples of ways to make your home more secure will also be shown and talked about. \nThis class is appropriate for Parents\, Teachers\, Concerned Citizens\, Business Professionals\, Churchgoers\, and anyone who wants to keep themselves and others safe. Having a plan is the first step. To help formulate your plan we will discuss and you will receive 5 different checklists: Windows\, Doors\, Exterior\, Home-Defense Plan and Mental Exercises checklists.

(ASP). You will learn what makes this device so effective\, as well as what you need to consider when carrying it. Plus\, you will get hands-on training with the Defender which will increase your confidence and competence in carrying this device as a means of self-protection. \n\n\nAdditional Notes from Your Instructor\nPlease wear comfortable clothing and closed toed shoes for this class as we will be doing deployment drills which include movement in all directions.

SUMMARY:Texas Hunters Education
DESCRIPTION:Texas Hunters Education \nWe are teaching the state-mandated course at Fayette County Gun Club for the entire week of June 8-12 from 8am-5pm. The same class is offered each day and must have a minimum of 5 students for the class to run on any particular day. Lunch\, all ammo\, targets and materials are provided by the generosity of Fayette County Gun Club. \nYou only need to register for one day if you need this class to get your hunting license in Texas. \nThis course is designed for novice or young hunters\, ages 9 years and above. The course covers the core competencies of firearm and hunting safety\, hunting ethics and wildlife conservation. All materials are provided. The Hunter Education Classroom Course lasts a maximum of 6 hours of classroom instruction. This time does not include registration\, breaks\, test administration and certification card distribution. Courses are offered across the state year round and are taught by certified volunteer instructors. The fee for the certification is $15 AND Pre-registration is required. Check with the instructor for directions and any special instructions prior to going to class. \nBe sure to verify with the instructor that the class you are registering for is the Classroom Course. \nWhen you arrive at the course: \n\nPay the fee to the instructor.\nAttend the entire course.\nTake the written exam and get at least 75% correct to pass.\nUpon successful completion\, you may receive a temporary card from the instructor. You may legally hunt with a valid Texas hunting license and your temporary certification card. Your permanent Texas Hunter Education certification card will be available for downloading and printing from your Account Profile.
