SUMMARY:NRA Certified Rifle Instructor Course
DESCRIPTION:This 2-day class includes NRA Basic Instructor Training (BIT) and the Instructor portion to have the opportunity to become a certified rifle instructor with the NRA. The prerequisite to take this instructor class is the Basics of Rifle Shooting student level class (just prior to this class). Proof of having taken this class is a certificate of completion from any certified NRA instructor. Please bring your student manual from this class as we will be using it. All instructor candidates must fill out a pre-course qualification/questionnaire and email it promptly back to the Training Counselor. All Instructor level materials will be provided. \nThere is a written test and a shooting qualification which must be passed at a 90% or greater to obtain certification. In addition\, you will be receiving and giving feedback to your class peers. Please come dressed as you would to go to the range. You will need to bring: your rifle in any caliber as you will be shooting as a “student” as well as shooting the instructor rifle qualification\, 150 rounds of ammunition\, a shooting mat\, eye and hearing protection\, closed toed shoes and long pants. You will be shooting from the bench\, prone and standing. Safe gun handling\, loading and unloading of each action type must also be demonstrated to pass this course. \nPlease bring a lunch both days as there aren’t any close by eateries. There is a fridge and a microwave. Water is provided.

Ammunition and any needed gear is available for purchase on site from Jigsaw Weaponry. \nThis 6-hour class is a deep dive into gun choice\, ammunition\, malfunctions\, holster choices\, color codes of awareness\, survivor mindset\, and more. Then students will put it all into practice on the range. Topics include: \n– self-defense firearm basics\, defensive shooting \n-safety\, learning your pistol parts\, ammunition\,\, etc. \n– fundamentals of grip\, stance\, sight picture\, trigger press \n– gear including holsters\, belts\, storage\, etc \n– skills and a plan to go forward; creating a training program\, dry firing and range portion \nAnd more!

DESCRIPTION:This is the NRA’s Refuse To Be A Victim (RTBAV) class. This is NOT a firearms class. It is a 4-hour crime prevention and situational awareness seminar.  You will need to bring a lunch\, drink\, and something to write with if you choose to take notes. The fee for this class is $50. You will receive a student packet and certificate of completion as well as plenty of knowledge\, tips and tricks to keep yourself safe. Class will be in the clubhouse at Fayette County Gun Club. It’s also a fantastic refresher for those who haven’t visited these topics in a while. \nIn this half-day class students will be guided to understand conflict avoidance and situational awareness\, develop a home security and home defense mindset and plan\, handgun\, shooting fundamentals\, the physiology of violent encounters and most importantly\, the legal aspects of using deadly force\, including what to do in the aftermath. It includes a brief overview of gear\, gadgets as well as ongoing training and optional 1-hour shooting portion at the end (extra $45 charge payable in class).

DESCRIPTION:Conceal Carry & Home Defense Fundamentals Instructor Course – upon successfully completing this 2-day course\, you will become USCCA Certified Instructor\, uniquely authorized to teach the USCCA course\, Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals. This course has become the gold standard across the United States for law abiding Americans seeking to obtain their concealed carry permit. As a USCCA certified instructor\, you will be trained and equipped to provide world-class instruction to students. You will have access to our world class classroom materials (including a full set of PowerPoint presentations and classroom videos). \nDuring this two-day training course\, you’ll be taught by a USCCA Training Counselor on a number of valuable topics\, including: The top ten instructor mistakes\, and how to avoid them; teaching best practices; and running a safe live fire range. You’ll also have a chance to demonstrate your knowledge of the USCCA training material through seven short presentations to a group of your peers\, as well as running a live fire range\, guiding your peers through the safe completion of the USCCA course of fire. After completion of this course\, you’ll not only be intimately familiar with the USCCA training methodology and materials\, you’ll be a far better instructor and presenter\, regardless of the topic of choice. Prior to the class\, you must complete the corresponding eLearning. After passing the class\, you will be sent an instructor shirt and toolkit valued at $450. \nPlease note that there is an e-learning component to this class that must be competed 48 hours BEFORE the first day of class.  Upon registration a detailed email will be sent to each Instructor Candidate.  Each Instructor Candidate must pass a shooting qualification and safe gun handling standards.

This class will cover safety considerations\, equipment needed\, storage and handling of components\, how to use reloading manuals and much more. This class focuses on metallic cartridge reloading. You will manufacture some 9mm pistol cartridges and fire them in your pistol at the end of the day. You will learn on both single stage and progressive presses. All supplies & safety gear needed in the classroom is provided. Please bring a lunch and any snacks to get through the day. Also bring: your firearm in 9mm\, eye and hearing protection\, brimmed cap and wear closed-toed shoes.
